Hello everybody!
My name is Aliya Delnore. Currently, I’m a first-year student at the University of Pittsburgh.
I have a variety of interests, all of which will probably make it on here at some point. I study things from mathematics and linguistics to politics and philosophy to computer science and physics, all of which I enjoy talking (and writing) about.
When I want to relax, I tend to play strategy and puzzle games; some of my favorites are Crypt of the NecroDancer, Griftlands, Shenzhen: I/O, Stacklands, Suzerain, and Wildermyth. More people should play Stacklands. I also love tabletop games – if I never graduate, assume it’s because I spent everything on games. Here in my dorm, I have Canvas, Undaunted: 2200, Nekojima, Bus, two 18xx games and a Go set.
I also like to read, mostly science/speculative fiction/fantasy. Recently, I’ve been reading everything from unrelated authors Liu Cixin and Ken Liu due to a friend’s recommendation and an amusing coincidence. My boyfriend’s also gotten my into Discworld lately, which I can’t recommend highly enough, especially some of the Moist von Lipwig books (Going Postal and Making Money). I will be posting about books.
Thanks for reading this, and I hope you’ll find something here that interests you!
